Venezuela’s socialist leader Hugo Chavez said on Sunday that U.S. President Barack Obama had done nothing beyond wishful thinking to earn the Nobel Peace Prize.
Chavez, who has mixed praise for Obama personally with criticism of his government’s “imperialist” policies, said he thought it was a mistake when he read the U.S. leader had won.
“What has [...]

It could be reasonably assumed that a great majority of those doctors who would consider quitting, serve Latino communities. Could Washington possibly force a bill that would totally undermine the medical industry in such a way as to make health care for Latinos a potential disaster? If doctors start to leave their practices in these [...]

President Obama has figured out that, for African-Americans, the next epic civil rights battle will be fought not in the streets but in the classroom.
In a recent interview with black journalists, Obama identified education as the most important challenge facing the African-American community.
“If we close the achievement gap, then a big chunk of economic inequality [...]

This is fucking crazy no matter what side your on!
Internet companies and civil liberties groups were alarmed this spring when a U.S. Senate bill proposed handing the White House the power to disconnect private-sector computers from the Internet.
They’re not much happier about a revised version that aides to Sen. Jay Rockefeller, a West Virginia Democrat, [...]

“You can think whatever you want to about Fidel Castro, but he was one of the brightest leaders I have ever met.”
KABC’s Michael Linder was the only broadcast reporter at Thursday night’s town hall health care debate at Wade AME Church when Rep. Diane Watson [D] made some astonishing comments including claims that those opposed [...]

The lights are going out in Venezuela. The Chavez-controlled legislature passed an education bill on Aug. 13 that will extinguish the last glimmers of free thought in the country’s classrooms. The law is such a caricature of revolutionary legislation that it almost seems like a joke, like something out of Woody Allen’s “Bananas.” But it’s [...]

Whatever happened to that “post-racial” America we were supposed to be living in?
Whatever happened to those warm and fuzzy feelings we got when we elected America’s first black president?
Whatever happened to being so proud of ourselves for having bridged the racial divide?
Didn’t last very long.

Biden Jr. made blistering references to Russia’s failing economy, loss of face and a leadership that is “clinging to something in the past” in an interview published on Saturday.
